The Luz bag contains within it both a continuation of and expansion on our desire to explore the concepts of form and function for this SS19 collection.  Named after the Spanish word for "light," the Luz bag hints at the illuminating nature of its central feature: a custom lucite rod upon which the bag itself hangs.

This new material serves as the guiding principle behind the Luz's evolution and construction.  Creating, in a sense, an alternative space between the leather structure and its wearer, the translucent material imbues each bag with the capacity to reflect and become part of it's environment.  The rod detail acts as a focused meeting point between the shoulder strap and body of the bag, hinging the two opposing pieces, while also giving the illusion of floating independently of one another; a handle from which to hold.
